Almost home
As I write this, I'm just about 12 more hours to my flight back to Singapore. I would really like to post more pictures and write more about my trip here but I just ain't got the time. It's a pretty eventful and hectic 2 week tour round the US. I'm kinda exhausted. I don't know whether it was really exhausting. I'm just contradicting.
As I write this, I made a call back home to check out the details of my trip to Taiwan with the Navy for Ex Sea Spray. It didn't sound too good. My ship was changed from the mammoth FR to the puny MCV, which means no sports and games on board the big ship, more migranes and shaky sea staes on board the smaller ship. I probably won't get a hero's welcome back from the States on the first day back atcamp and I'll get straight back into the action of shitty work and more senseless fitness tests.
2 weeks of intensive Amercian food and no exercise doesn't help for a borderline passer of the 2.4km run. 9.08 the previous one.
As I write this, I guess I probably do miss home. I miss talking to people I love and I kinda miss my comforter. When the plane alights at Changi airport on Sunday midnight, I will be greeted by the hidden worries and problems I have at the back of my head in Singapore. My family problems, financial problems, NS-related problems. I will be going home putting on a strong front, knowing that I've left that all behind to enjoy myself for 2 weeks in a foreign land.
What lies ahead for me is probably not easy, I know it myself and I'm trying not to think too much about it. I have mixed feelings about coming home. You know?
I'll be back.
