What the hell?
So I'm back for the night from my exercise. What a pleasant surprise. Bad news is my ear hole closed up, can't be helped. Was blowing things up in the sea this morning. Thanks to my mum, she forced the hole open again. A little painful, well, actually not.
My life in camp is really pretty shitty, on unfriendly terms with really a lot of people. OK, at least I have, say 6 people to talk to? Was talking to my friend earlier today and we're on this subject about religions, the big 3, Islam, Buddhism and Christianity.
He's really a profound thinker, a really devout and studious Buddhist who puts in effort to know about his religion, comprehend and analyse the teachings, an influential preacher to some extent. Of course, me being me, questioned and challenged about possible loopholes, flaws, contradictory ideals. I'm really very fond about studying religions cos they're such powerful tools in the history of humanity. Religion in politics. Politics in religion. Good and bad at the same time.
We were on this topic about heaven and hell.
There's this story about hell. In hell, people sit together and use super long chopsticks to eat. When they got their food, they try to feed themselves and in the process because of the length of the chopsticks, the chopsticks hit another person. Everybody who tries desperately to eat the food on their own chopsticks ended up hitting one another. Arguments and unhappiness arise, no peace and no nothing.
In heaven, people sit together and use super long chopsticks to eat. When they got their food, they feed the person sitting opposite them and vice versa. Everybody gets to eat their food, everybody's happy.
So what is hell, is it some place where it's super hot? the cliched ' May you burn in hell, or issit like Abu Ghraib prison where you get tortured like the Iraqis? My friend said that heaven and hell are just one of the many realms that exist. ' Yi nian zhi cha' determines whether it's heaven or hell. Or in english, just a distortion of intentions, yes, as mentioned, in the above analogies. OK, this is a too abstruse for you and me. But what i wanna say is, is this world we are living now actually hell without us knowing? Sounds absurd. But man, this may be living hell. I mean, look at the world right now. Just think about it, think of the stories about heaven an helli mentioned, digest it and try to get the whole picture.
Meanwhile, let's celebrate Sir Alex Ferguson's 1000th game in charge of Manchester United.
Or the Red Devils.
