TV ideology
I finally puked after drinking hard liquor, beer, repetitively, sporadically. Guess I'm no stranger to going to people's homes whom i dun even know for dinner and stuff, no thanks to my good friend, mean. Yea so i got the tenant really drunk and got her throwing curses and finally really dead. Such events really cut down a few years of my life, i'm still feeling a little shitty with all the mess i gulped down, threw out, and the residue in my gullet. I'm sorry girl i got u so drunk, i won the battle of the egos. But winning isn't everything, quoted 'Robin' in today morning's Kids Central's ' Teen Titans ' presumably a cartoon about all the sidekicks. Enough of this bullshit.
Staying at home being a couch potato is really some luxury, add potato chips, a little ice-cream, lying down makes you real fat. I heard that watching TV burns even less calories than sleeping. Yea, so congrats for being a fatso who fuck your figure and health up. I mean myself.
I've never really been into english sitcoms like Friends, The Practice, Ally McBeal. Maybe their slots clashed with my dad watching his chinese news program. Hey but soon after i had 3 TVs at home, the living room's one was mine. And I started to watch reality TV, well, not really my type, maybe except the Apprentice and the first season of America's Next Top Model with Elyse in it. And maybe American Idol.
For those who don't have cable TV, same here, yea, you only actually miss out in 3 things. The sports channels, the MTV channels, and to a certain extend, Discovery. Gone are the old days when there was Premier 12 where they'll show EPL every week which is great.
TVB drama serials are so bloody addictive, topics in school. Even some of my nerdy friends watched the last 15min of Tian Di Hao Qing every day during the pre-prelim period. So many of them...Nan Xiong Nan Di, Tian Di Nan Er, Xing Shi, Yi Hao Huang Ting.. even those shown on sunday mornings.
Before there were all the lousy Taiwan teeny shows and the melodramatic Korean thrash, there were the Jap shows which is really pretty refreshing when it first started.
Then there's super sunday which is a must watch, which is now overshadowed by the Jacky Wu shows. Hey Jacky Wu shows are good, but they just dun have that family entertainment factor that super sunday has. Where the whole family can sit down and have a good hearty laugh, close friends too. Taiwan variety shows.
Of course, another shitty and thrashy show on TV is the WWF shit, which is pretty entertaining if u watch once in a while.
But you realise as you grow older, the later you go home, or the lesser time you spend at home, which means lesser TV time, or you'll probably just catch the shows earliest after 10. (Lesser is incorrect but it sounds better than less) You have already missed out the whole chunk. The graph then shoots up again after you're married, when you have nothing much to do but respite. watching TV, waiting for time to pass, yea that's for you pessimists.
Well there are truly memorable moments in TV that people will always remember. Classic.
Like the Mark Lee impersonation of Michael Jackson, the mere thought of it is pretty hilarious, good tip for chalets or barbeques when you all have nothing to talk about.
Then there is the Sunday girls of Super sunday.
Then of course there is my cameo in Qi Yue Qiao Jia Ren, which can still be seen in all leading family KTVs.
